Tara Lowary, originally a New Jersey native, has absorbed the Vermont country life for the past 16 years. Her day life includes running a horse farm, lesson and boarding program, equine mental health non-profit, the IHSA Bennington College equestrian team, trustee position of North Bennington, chair of the DEI committee for IHSA, and what’s shaping up to be a commune of community members who love the farm and everything we do. When she’s done spinning all those plates (and keeping them from crashing) she enjoys the fiber life with her founder friends. Starting with knitting in 2017 she sank into the fiber quicksand by happenstance and curiosity. Now she can take a fleece from sheep to shawl through weaving or knitting. She saved several floor looms that now live in the fiber studio.
