Winter Knit Together: Come sit and drink tea while you work on warm woolen items. We have a supply of needles available to Members.
Bi-Annual Stash Swap: Have so much fiber fluff that you won’t be able to use it all before you die? All the wrong yarn? 1/2 full cones of warp yarn? Us too! Dig through your stash and bring it to share and swap with fellow Guild Members to clean out your closet, chests, baskets, bins. and go home with a new-to-you material to add spark your next project.
Classes: We have some class ideas we are mapping out but every topic in fiber arts is possible! Beginner knitting, crochet, weaving, wheel spinning, drop spindling, scouring, needle felting, rug hooking, combing, carding, dye workshops… We are always interested in instructors who want to share their skill in running classes, demos or workshops. If this is you, send us an e-mail. If there is a class you are keenly looking for, let us know, we love being able to support a new avenue for your work!
Share the love of our art: Periodically, the Guild will participate in fiber festival group activities, contests and displays: Sheep to Shawl, Demos, etc. We are excited to provide a place for members to coordinate, draw support from each other and share our dedication and work to those outside our Studio.
